After breakfast, depart for Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most significant spiritual and cultural landmark in Bulgaria, set within the forested Rila Mountains. Established in the 10th century, it is renowned for its impressive arcaded courtyards, richly decorated frescoes, and long-standing monastic traditions. Later, continue to Plovdiv and explore the city with a guided tour, including the Roman Amphitheatre, the Folk Art Museum, and the Church of St. Constantine and Elena. Overnight in Plovdiv. (B)

Today, travel through the Valley of Roses in Kazanlak, where you will visit a Rose Oil Distillery and enjoy tastings of rose jam and brandy. Continue with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Thracian Tomb, an exceptional ancient burial site dating from the 4th–3rd century BC, famous for its remarkably preserved wall paintings. It provides valuable insight into the rituals, beliefs, and artistic achievements of the Thracian civilization. Later, visit the Etar Museum, an open-air ethnographic complex, before arriving in Veliko Tarnovo for overnight. (B)

After crossing the Danube River into Romania, continue to Bucharest, the lively capital city. Today includes a visit to the impressive Palace of the Parliament, one of the largest administrative buildings in the world and a powerful symbol of Romania’s modern history. Continue to Sinaia to visit the fairytale-like Peleș Castle, an outstanding example of Neo-Renaissance architecture. Known for its richly decorated interiors, valuable art collections, and picturesque towers, it served as the summer residence of the Romanian royal family.
