Enjoy a walking tour of Sibiu, the largest and wealthiest fortified citadel built in Transylvania by German settlers during the 12th century. The town features a charming pedestrian area divided into the Upper Town and Lower Town, connected by the famous Stairs Passage. Renowned for preserving its medieval atmosphere, Sibiu was included by Forbes among the world’s most idyllic places to live and was named European Capital of Culture in 2007 alongside Luxembourg. During the tour, admire landmarks such as Brukenthal Palace, the Grand Square, the Little Square, the Liar’s Bridge, and the impressive Evangelical Cathedral. Afterwards, enjoy leisure time in the Old Town and at the Christmas Market. In the evening, travel to the village of Sibiel, where a local family will welcome you traditionally with bread and salt. Enjoy a homemade Transylvanian dinner accompanied by local wine and brandy. Return to Sibiu for overnight accommodation. (B, D)

Bid farewell to Sibiu and continue towards Sighișoara, a UNESCO-listed medieval town celebrated for its cobbled streets and colourful houses. Explore the town’s historic attractions, including the iconic Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill. Free time will be available for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a tasting of traditional local fruit brandies — including plum țuică, as well as pear, apple, and apricot varieties — served in a warm and rustic setting. Continue with a scenic drive to Brașov and check in at your comfortable hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel. (B, D)

Dracula Castle

This morning, travel to Bran to visit the famous Dracula Castle. Nestled among the forested hills and surrounded by mystery and legend, Bran Castle was built by the German Saxons in the 14th century and long served as a customs fortress between Transylvania and Wallachia. In 1920, it became a royal residence gifted by the citizens of Brașov to Queen Marie of Romania. Today, internationally renowned for its association with Bram Stoker’s Count Dracula, it stands among Transylvania’s most visited landmarks. Return to Brașov and enjoy free time for lunch. Your guided walking tour begins in Council Square, originally established by the Saxons and historically known as Marktplatz. Highlights include the Black Church, Romania’s most important Gothic church and the largest between Vienna and Istanbul, named after the Great Fire of 1689. You will also visit Rope Street, often considered one of the narrowest streets in Europe, and the Christmas Market beside the Old City Hall. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a rustic restaurant in Brașov’s Old Town. (B, D)
